Final Warped Tour Lineup: All Time Low, We the Kings, Bowling for Soup, and More Set to Perform

BY MAYA GEORGI

This past November, punk rockers' hearts unanimously broke when Kevin Lyman, head of the Vans Warped Tour, announced that 2018 would mark the "final full cross country run" of the largest traveling musical festival in the country.

In an interview with Billboard, Lyman stated the main reason for this change was that he finally grew tired of the trek. It’s also no debate that the punk rock culture has been dwindling for a while now, which definitely hasn’t helped the tour’s popularity. Even so, this past Thursday, Warped Tour announced the final lineup for summer 2018 and it seemed as if punk rockers finally found the bittersweet moment in the heartbreak. After all, the lineup is so good it feels like a blessing.

Classic bands who got their start in the earlier days of the Vans Warped Tour like Bowling for Soup, Simple Plan, Less than Jake, Sum 41, Silverstein, and Every Time I Die are set to hit the stage this summer to rouse fans back into nostalgia. If you’re lucky enough to live in California, you’ll even be able to catch some of the best rockers in the scene, The Used and Taking Back Sunday, who signed on for a single date of the tour.

The pop punk members of the scene will be ecstatic to hear that wonderful ballad writers Mayday Parade are committing to the full tour along with The Maine, Falling in Reverse, State Champs, We the Kings, Real Friends, Waterparks, and Knuckle Puck. If that’s not getting you excited, I’m also thrilled to share pop punk kings, All Time Low, have agreed to join the Warped Tour again, but only for a few days in June. Even eclectic pop duo, 3OH!3 plans on making a random appearance this summer.

As far as notable hardcore rock and metal bands, awesome headliner Asking Alexandria will stop by for a few days in July joined by August Burns Red, Motionless in White, and Crown the Empire -- all who are scheduled for the entirety of the summer.
